Eat More, Weigh Less!! Revealing What I Wish I Knew About Dieting!

Yes yes yes!! You can eat MORE FOOD and WEIGH LESS!


No more dieting, no more restricting and binging, no more feeling hungry all the time. No more calorie counting and portion controlling... thank goodness!! I've had enough of that over the years and it never worked anyway!! Dieting sets you up for failure! If it's not something you aren't going to do long term it should be avoided. 


Dieting sends only one message to your brain: "There's not enough food. We'd better put every spare calorie we can into fat because we don't know where our next meal is coming from."  So of course you gain weight when the diet comes to an end 😩


Want to know what does work?? Finding a lifestyle that works for YOU! But of course what works the best for weight loss is a "diet" or way of eating that is centered around whole foods and plant foods! Nutritional starvation is a major reason we have an obesity epidemic! Eat MORE whole, plant foods while reducing processed and refined foods, reducing fatty animal products and managing stress! A mind/ body holistic approach is key!


When you adopt a whole food, plant based diet, you can eat ABUNDANTLY! And I mean it when I tell my clients to eat as many whole plant foods as they want! I do not restrict myself and I teach my clients stop restricting, because thats no fun and not sustainable. Plan ahead for the days you know you will go out to eat etc. Plan in that glass of wine. If you can't go without it, then don't. Plan ahead or prepare to fail. Most importantly fuel up on the RIGHT foods first. The foods that your body was designed to eat: NATURES FOOD!


I also live that 90/10 lifestyle. But what happens when you adopt a whole foods way of eating is your taste buds change and you stop getting cravings! If I want a snickers by golly I'll have me a snickers but its rare that I actually do want one! When healthy eating and healthy living becomes your routine, it comes naturally to you! Isn't that the goal??


I don't even have to think about my food choices or working out or engaging in activities that are beneficial to health because this is my lifestyle! Once you do something long enough it becomes a habit, and habits really are what make up our lifestyles! You've got to change the habits that got you to that heavy weight, and start doing things NOW that will get you where you actually want to be!


I've been living a healthy lifestyle for years now and I've finally understood calorie density and nutrient density. Thats the key I was missing that I wish I knew when trying to get passed a weight plateau. Understanding the caloric density of foods is a big part of what I teach my clients, as it is one of the most important aspects to understand for lasting results. This is why you can eat more and weight less. When you eat foods that are low in calorie density, but high in nutrient density meaning (high in beneficial nutrients like fiber, water, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients) your body gets satisfied earlier and you eat less calories.


I knew about being in a caloric deficit since that's pretty much how all fat loss works if you could narrow it down to 1 thing, whether that's on a keto diet, intermittent fasting, vegan diet or any other crazy diet. But being in a caloric deficit isn't fun or easy or sustainable...


1. It's hard to know if you are even  in a deficit.... and how to modify your habits when you don't see weight loss. Many programs and weight loss schemes are one size fits all.. so they FAIL to empower you to know what to do or change.

2. It's impossible to stick to any diet that requires massive unrealistic effort (like calorie counting, macros, cutting portions, intermittent fasting, raw diets etc) these are not sustainable and long term weight loss does not occur, or is RARE. 


AND, there is a lot of other factors that need to be addressed! Calorie density, being in a deficit, and finding your body's specific caloric needs... It's so much more though, like your unique history and every thing leading up to where you are now; your daily habits, your eating patterns, past dieting attempts, your hormones, blood sugar, toxic load.. these are just to name a few. Which clearly takes some time to dig into and ultimately CHANGE. It is possible though! I've done it. And I've helped others achieve this too.


You have to figure out what works best for YOU. There is no cookie cutter one size approach. We are all different have unique needs.
